Beach | Brunch | Bondi

A trademark casual wanky day in Sydney consists of coffee, strolling around Bondi in your gym gear (activewear), having brunch with the girls and visiting the beach or pool for a swim/tan.

I’m usually rolling my eyes at this overdone and over-advertised Sydney way of life, but you see if you actually do reside here, there’s really no escaping it. It’s just our way of going about our days off and I guess it’s actually kind of fun and relaxing.

There are a tone of cute and interesting cafes around the beachy suburbs of Sydney.

To be honest, I wouldn’t really classify them as ‘cheap eats’, but it’s nice to treat yourself every now and then to some healthy (or not so healthy) Modern Australian cafe style food.

After indulging or nourishing your body, it’s always nice to have a little walk to aid in digestion.

There are always some pretty and scenic areas around the beaches. Bondi is one of the larger beaches on the east, so it’s quite nice to explore – especially in the late afternoon when the sun isn’t so harsh and the sky is pretty while the sun is setting.

Or of course after lunch/brunch, you may decide to go all out and visit the beach or natural pool.

Icebergs is one of the most iconic natural pools in Sydney (if not the most).  This was actually my first time visiting it too.

It looked pretty full and there wasn’t much room, however the plus side is that you won’t get covered in sand. Just make sure you get there earlier in the day if you want to secure a nice spot for yourself and your friends.

I wear a lot of SPF these days and if I do want to have tanned skin, I use fake tan.  On this day I wasn’t very brown at all hence why I decided to wear this one-piece swimsuit from Bras n’ Things – an Australian lingerie store. I’ve really been feeling one-piece swimsuits for a while though!

I also now like to bring a cover up to the beach/pool when I go just because I want to look after my skin.

I think they look classy and really resort-like! I got mine from Zara a while back.

What are some of your favourite things to do on a summer day off with your friends in your city?
